Obituary

DORIS I. ADAMS Age 86, a resident of Hennis Care Centre in Dover, previously of Mineral City, passed away Thur. evening in Union Hospital. Born in New Cumberland, a daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Kausztch Haney, she was a member of New Cumberland United Methodist Church and attended St. Paul's Community Church in Mineral City. Doris retired in 1985 from Sparta Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta after 36 years service where she was a tile mounter. She was a member of the Mineral City Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing euchre and spending time with her friends. Preceded in death by three brothers, Jerald Haney, Sr., Harry Haney and Harold Haney; four sisters, Jane Krantz, Mary Gintz, Carrie Haney, and Bonnie Viola; one nephew, Jerry Haney, Jr.; and long-time companion, Frank Mowls. Survived by two sisters-in-law, Helen Haney, of Mineral City, and Rena Haney, of New Philadelphia; several nieces and nephews; and her cat, Tillie. Services will be conducted Tues. at 11 a.m. in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Mark Gross officiating. Interment in New Cumberland Cemetery.
