DONALD W. WILSON,
Age 77, of Canton, passed away Sat. afternoon in his residence. Born in East Liverpool, a son of the late John and Minnie Flannagan Wilson, he had been a Canton resident since 1950. Don retired in 1993 from the City of Canton after 14 years service where he was a filter operator in the Water Department and served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Canton and American Legion Post #221 in Massillon, and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, trap shooting and playing in the City of Canton Golf League. Survived by his wife, Lucy Hoffman Wilson; two daughters and one son-in-law, Donette and James Wilson-Jovingo, and Dina Wilson, all of New Smyrna Beach, FL; one son and daughter-in-law, Erick and Shanon Wilson, of Edgewater, FL; two step-daughters and one son-in-law, Debbie Hoffman and Sharon and Les Cosner, all of Canton; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church in Canton with Msgr. Lewis Gaetano as Celebrant. Friends may call one hour before the Mass in the church. The family would like to thank Triology Oncology, Dr. Noman Rafique and his staff, Senior Independence Hospice, and Mercy Medical Center 8th Floor staff for all the love and care they showed Don.
