Donald L. Perdue
Age 83, of Massillon, passed away Sat., Dec. 3, 2011, in the Laurels of Massillon. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Ralph and Bernice (Miller) Perdue, and was a life resident of this area. Don was a 1945 graduate of McKinley High School. He retired in 1993 from Georgia Pacific, after 25 years service, where he was a supervisor. Following retirement he delivered flowers part-time for Corbit's Flowers. He was a member of Church of The Lakes, United Methodist. Preceded in death by a son, Jack Perdue, on April 13, 1993, and a brother, Richard Perdue. Survived by his wife, Janet N. Perdue, with whom he celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary on July 21st; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Paul Quinn, of Massillon, and Cindy and Mark Roman, of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Betsy Perdue, of Massillon; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Church of The Lakes with Pastor Bryan George officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home and Friday 10-11 a.m. at the church before the service.
