IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donald N.
Neice
June 13, 1942 – July 17, 2015
Donald N. Neice
Age 73, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015, in his home. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Ira and Catherine (Corrigan) Neice, and was a Waynesburg resident all his life. Don was a 1960 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, and retired in 1997 from The Timken Co., after 35 years service, where he worked in the Harrison Ave. Steel Plant. After his retirement, he worked a couple years at the Colton Ace Hardware. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Golden Lodge #1123 United Steelworkers of America, AFl-CIO, the Great Train Muzzle Loaders Club, and was very active in the Great Trail Festival. Don enjoyed primitive camping and reading, and he was an excellent pie baker. But most of all, he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Don left specific instructions that no one was to wear black, only jokes and good stories were to be told, and don't mourn him, just celebrate his life. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, James, and Bernard "Buster" Neice. Survived by his wife, Sandra K. Neice, with whom he celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary on June 20th; three daughters and a son-in-law, Denise Neice, of Canton, Christine Pikna, of Waynesburg, and Cindy and Clif Merz, of Denton, NC; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Jean Neice, of Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren, four and one soon to be born great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. at 1 p.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Don's memory may be made to the donor's favorite charity, or you should donate blood. Condolences may be sent to: gordonfuneralhomes.com
