DONALD T. MIHAL,
Age 77, of Carrollton, passed away Mon. afternoon in his residence. Born in Magnolia, a son of the late Nicolas and Lyda Brinkman Mihal, he had been a resident of the Carrollton area most of his life. Don was a 1949 graduate of Magnolia High School, and had worked at the Whitacre-Greer Fireproofing Co. and the Harrison Hills Campground. He had served with the U.S. Navy and was a member of V.F.W. Post #3301 in Carrollton. Preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Mihal, in 1991; one sister, Betty Bisnick; one brother, Ernie Mihal; and one son, Donald Mihal, Jr. Survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Jo and Joe Paul, of Carrollton, and Dawn Mihal, of Massillon; three sons and one daughter-in-law, John and Karen Mihal, of Brewster, Craig Mihal, of Canton, and Donald "Scoot" Mihal, of Carrollton; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Norma Hoagland, of East Sparta, and Esta and Wade Harsh, of Dover; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Beverly Mihal, of Minerva; two grandchildren, Shannon Atkinson and her husband, Robby, and Toby Mihal, and his wife, Stephanie; and six grandchildren. Services will be conducted Fri. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Chaplain Brian Flood officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.
