Donald R. Hudson, Sr. Age 74, of Canton, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 9, 2011, in Aultman Hospital. He was born in Corbin, KY, a son of the late Fred and Catherine (Kidd) Hudson, came to Canton in Jan. of 1970, previously residing in Dayton most of his life and the Chicago area five years. He was a 1955 graduate of Dayton Roosevelt High School. Don was the retired owner of Hudson Tire, Inc., and had been affiliated with Goodyear Tire Co. for 18 years. Following retirement he received his Real Estate License and joined his wife in the realty business. Don was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Survived by his wife, Judy S. Hudson, with whom he celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on July 19th; two sons, Donald R. "Skip" Hudson, Jr., of Canton, and Kirk Hudson and Holly Walker, of Chicago, IL; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Fred and Marsha Hudson, of Indianapolis, IN, and Robert Hudson, of Costa Rica; five grandchildren, Erika (Josh) Jones, Samantha, Nadiea, Katlyn, and Stewart Hudson. Services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Diana Thompson officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home and Friday one hour before the services at the church.
