Donald Gruber
Age 84, of Waynesburg, passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Howard and Lela (Swaim) Gruber, and was a life resident of Waynesburg. Don was a 1949 graduate of Waynesburg High School. He was retired from Whitacre Greer Fireproofing Co. in Waynesburg and Midvale, where he was a lift truck driver. Following his retirement he worked at McKinley Life Care. He was a member of Waynesburg First Presbyterian Church. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Bob, and Fred Gruber. Survived by two daughters and a son, Mary Kay Donohue, Lisa Grossi, and David Gruber; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Andy (Amy) Donohue and their daughter, MaKaelyn, Damon, Ben and Sam Donohue, Gabriella, Bonnie, Nathan, and Toby Grossi, Sarah Riggs and her son, Joey, Caitlin Gruber, and Olivia (Andrew) Rush; one sister, Dorothy Elsass; one brother, Jack Gruber and Carol Moody; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Waynesburg First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Joseph Svancara officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
