Donald H. Arth Age 86, formerly of Waynesburg, passed away Thursday evening in his son's home in Hampstead, NC. He was born in Dover, a son of the late Howard and Almeda Hidey Arth, and had been a resident of the Waynesburg area most of his life until moving to Hampstead in 2003. Donald retired in 1976 from The Timken Co., after 35 years service, where he was an inspector and crew leader. He was of Lutheran Faith. Donald was in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in Gen. George S. Patton's Third Army. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy H. (Marker) Arth, on March 20, 2003. Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Becky Arth, of Hampstead; two grandchildren, Ian Arth and his wife, Lisa, and their daughter, Isabela, of Beach City, OH, and Andrea Arth, of Hampstead. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor John Maroni officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
