Dino A. Long, age 64, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026. He was born April 30, 1962, in Albion, Michigan, a son of Virginia Long and the late Danny Long.
Dino spent his life working in the oilfield, where he was known for his work ethic, toughness, and ability to figure anything out. He was a man who built his life with his hands, his grit, and his determination. Dino was widely known and respected in the racing community. Behind the wheel of the #80, he made a name for himself as a talented, clean, and fearless driver, competing in the Main Event Racing Series and earning the respect of fellow drivers, crews, and fans. To many who watched him race, Dino was not just a racer, he was a legend. His racing stories, his skill behind the wheel, and the mark he left on the sport will continue to be remembered by all who knew him.
Outside of work and racing, Dino enjoyed the things that brought him peace, especially spending time at his cabin. It was one of his favorite places, a place where he could relax, enjoy life, and be surrounded by the people and memories that mattered most. He is survived by his wife, Cari (Betz) Long; his daughter, Stephani (Seth) Jones; his son, Dino Long; one sister, Victoria (James) Navarra; two brothers, Dan (Tracy) Long and Chadwick (Heather) Long; three grandchildren, Teegan Jones, Rhett Long, and Romee Long; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
God Speed #80.
