Dennis L. Westhoefer

Age 76, of Canton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021.  He was born August 22, 1945 in Canton, a son of the late Donald and Katherine "Kay" (Heinemann) Westhoefer, and was a life resident.  Denny was a 1963 graduate of Glenwood High School, and previously attended Lincoln High School three years, playing basketball at both schools.  He also graduated from Ohio Northern University with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  Denny was retired from Tampa Armature in Tampa, FL, where he was an electrical engineer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Westhoefer.  Denny is survived by his wife, Sandie K. (May) Westhoefer, a son and daughter, Ryan and Michelle, five grandchildren, Sydnie Dye, twins Nick and Luke Dye, Ricky Miller and Jake Miller.

Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Jane Fleischer, Director of Caring Ministries at Crossroads United Methodist Church, officiating.  Friends may call Thursday 12-1 p.m. before the service.  Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
