Dennis W. Knepper

Age 73, of East Sparta, passed away Sat., July 8, 2023.  He was born August 14, 1949 in Massillon, a son of the late Wayne and Helen (Dean) Knepper, and had been a resident of the Sandy Valley area most of his life. Dennis retired in 2015 from Republic Steel Corp., after 46 ½ years service, as a crane repairman. He was a member of the Sandy Valley Eagles and the Waco Army-Navy Club. Dennis loved his John Deere Tractors, enjoyed his garden, fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Gary Knepper, a step-sister, Aleta Dewell, and a nephew, Daniel Knepper. Dennis is survived by his wife, Marilyn Knepper, with whom he would have celebrated their 28th Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 2nd; five daughters and one son, Becky (Jim) Hupp, Patty (Terry ) Kahler, Roberta (Jeff) Hochstetler, Marilyn (Warren) Lewis, Esther (Tom) Varadi, and Richard (Lisa) Kieffer; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Rick and tracy Williams, and Connie Knepper.

Services will be held Thursday, at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Gary Smith, Celebrant, officiating.  Friends may call Thursday 11- 1 p.m. before the service.  Interment will be in Melscheimer Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
