Denise L. Eckels

Age 61, of Magnolia, passed away Monday evening in Aultman Compassionate Care.  She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late William and Bernice (Bisland) Eckels, and had been a resident of the Magnolia-East Sparta area 14 years.  Denise had been an employee of Diebold Inc. for 12 years, where she was a dispatcher.  She loved her cat, Suni, and enjoyed watching sports, especially football.  Denise looked forward to her weekly SKYPE sessions with her great-niece, Emma.  Denise was a special person with a huge heart, and deep belief in God. Survived by two brothers and sister-in-law, Bill and Michelle Eckels, of Louisville, KY, and Jack Eckels, of Hartville; a nephew, Zachary (Lacey) Eckels and their daughter, Emma;  three very good friends, Debbie Boron, Annie Fenstemaker, and Linda Mathey.  Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Old Chapel in Sunset Hills Burial Park with Pastor Randy Newcomer officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
