February 6, 1942 – October 19, 2022
Delores A. Larson
Age 80, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 6, 1942 in Canton, a daughter of the late Howard "Bud" and Catherine (Knotts) Duskey, grew up in East Sparta, resided in Magnolia until moving to Jackson Township in 1980. Dee was a 1960 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, attended Bowling Green State University, and received both her Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Education from Kent State University. She was retired from the Sandy Valley School District where she taught at Magnolia and Waynesburg Elementary Schools. She was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church. Dee was an ardent counted cross stitcher, an extensive reader and gifted seamstress. She followed the Indians, Browns, Buckeyes, and Jackson Polar Bears, especially the golf team, which her grandson plays on. Dee enjoyed vast travels throughout the United States and Europe with her mother Kitty, daughter JoEllyn, and occasionally with Joe's mother, Ruth Larson. More than anything she wanted to be remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, teacher, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Larson, with whom she celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary on August 29th; her daughter and son-in-law, JoEllyn and Jim Kish, her grandson, Jordan Kish, and brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Nancy Duskey.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Orphanides officiating. Friends may call Monday 5-7 p.m. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
