DAVID J. WIANDT,
Age 75, of Magnolia, passed away Wed. evening in Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Canton, a son of the late Charles and Lucille (Sell) Wiandt, he had been a Magnolia-Waynesburg area resident most of his life. He was a 1957 graduate of Sandy Valley High School. Dave retired in 1996 from the Timken Co. after 32 years service where he was a crane operator, and also had helped his dad haul coal for many years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Morges. Dave was a Veteran of the U.S. Army from 1961-63, and had served in Germany. Preceded in death by his brother, John Wiandt. Survived by his wife, Rita (Eafrate) Wiandt, with whom he would have celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary on Dec. 26th; two daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Don Hawker, of East Sparta, and Charlene and Richard Longnecker, of Canton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Debbie Wiandt, of Ravenna, and David A. and Michelle Wiandt, of Strasburg; 13 grandchildren, Lindsay, Mandy, Tony and Doug, Nikki and Becca, Jameson David, and Christina, Brendan (Marissa), Alex, Bobby, Jonah and Nathan; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Kathleen and Michael Bolus, of Uniontown, Rosemary Weisent, of Albuquerque, NM, and Jessie Agle, of Washington Court House, OH; four brothers and one sister-in-law, Roger Wiandt, of Canton, Richard and Delores Wiandt, of Magnolia, Mark Wiandt, of Bradenton, FL, and Paul Wiandt, of Canton. Services will be held Sat. at 10 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Fr. Anthony Batt officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.
