David W. Schiffer

Age 60, of Canton, passed away Friday, Jan 8, 2021.  He was born Dec. 28, 1960 in Canton, a son of the late Thomas W. and Mary Anne (Welsh) Schiffer, and was a life resident.  David was a 1979 graduate of McKinley High School and was a retired employee of Sav-A-Lot Foods.  He was a member of Arlington Ave. Church of God.  David enjoyed solving SUDUKO puzzles, was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan, loved "Old Western" TV programs, and in his younger years, he and his wife enjoyed bowling.  David is survived by his wife, Karen S. Schiffer, with whom he celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on July 15th, two brothers, Paul and Leo Schiffer, and his cat, Maggie Mae.   Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Clifford Hughes officiating.  Interment will be in Melscheimer Cemetery.  Friends may call at a restricted visitation on Wed. from 6-8 p.m. where no more than ten people in addition to the family may be in the Chapel at one time.  Social distancing and facial covering will be required.  The funeral service will be Live Streamed on Thursday starting at 10:15 a.m.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
