David A. Mills,

It is with deep sorrow that the family of David Allan Mills announce his passing on December 17th, 2023 at Aultman Woodlawn Compassionate Care in Canton, Ohio.  David was born on May 3rd, 1952 in Columbiana, Ohio, the son of the late Van Allan Mills Jr. and the late Kathryn Jean Snay Mills.  David and his wife, Annette, were married on July 4, 1992 surrounded by their loved ones at their home in Canton, Ohio.  Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Annette Mills, three sons, Christopher (Sydney) Mills of Mooresville, NC., David Jr. (Stephanie) of Hillard, OH., Andrew (Katya) Melott of Avon, OH; two daughters, Tiffany (Thomas) Shepard of East Canton, OH., and Mindy Melott of Valdese, NC; sister Chryal (Ernest) Nichols of Omaha, NE; three brothers, James (Cindy) Mills of Charlotte, NC., Van "Chuck" Mills of Newark, OH., Michael Mills of Zanesville, OH; and sister-in-law, Julie Mills of Chandler, AZ. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He was proceeded in death by his brother, Ronald Mills of Chandler, AZ.  David was a hardworking, loving father and husband who was always the life of the party. His passion for sports was exemplified by his unwavering support of his children and grandchildren at every sporting event he attended. He was a die-hard Ohio sports fanatic who would never miss a second of a Buckeyes, Indians, Cavs, or Browns game. He always knew how to make you laugh and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family.  Services will be held Thurs. at 7 pm in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  Friends may call from 5-7 pm in the funeral home.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
