David Kaminsky

age 98, of Canton, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2016.  He was born in Butler, PA, a son of the late John and Helen (Urban) Kaminsky, and had been a Canton resident most of his life.  David was a 1936 graduate of McKinley High School, and was retired from the Union Drawn Division of Republic Steel Corp. where he was an accountant.  David served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.  He enjoyed golf, bowling, and doing crossword puzzles.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marcia L. Kaminsky, on April 3, 2006, and a brother, Russell Kaminsky.  Survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and James "Marty" Stewart, of Canton; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lynne Kaminsky, of Shreveport, LA, and John and Debbie Kaminsky, of Canton; four grandchildren, Paul Kaminsky, Jessica Stewart, Nicole (Scott) Elswick, and Andrea Kaminsky; also seven great-grandchildren and one angel.  Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey L.
