DAVID E. CHANEY,

Age 69, of Canton, passed away Sat., May 7, 2016.  Born in Canton, a son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Hadden) Chaney, he had been a resident of Canton most of his life.  David was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln High School and retired from Timken Research, where he was known as "Bobo," in 2013 as a Shipping and Receiving Manager.  Survived by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Chaney; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diana Chaney, Melissa and Steve Hawk, and Christina Chaney-Karolyi and Albert Karolyi; five grandsons, Damien Kolek, Stevie Hawk, David Binion, Levi Hawk, and Nathan Binion; and five great grandchildren.  A Memorial Service will be held in First Christian Church, 6900 Market Ave N., Canton OH 44721 on Wednesday, May 18th from 6-8 for family and friends of David  In lieu of flowers, contributions in David's memory may be made to the family to help defray expenses.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
