David L. Boyd

Age 77, of Magnolia, passed away Sat. Nov 12, 2022.  Born March 15, 1945 , in Canton, Ohio, was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Edith Boyd, and brother Tom. Dave graduated from Sandy Valley High School in 1963, was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church and honorably served in the Army Reserve.

Dave loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Anne (Faiello) Boyd, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage, three children, David (Barbara) Boyd, Carri (Jamie) Meek, Travis (Nicky) Boyd, seven grandchildren, Erika Boyd, Michael Boyd, Natalie (Logan) Mashchak, Tyler Meek, Camryn Meek, Rebecca Boyd and Jackson Boyd, and his sister and brother, Judy Garris, and Jeff Boyd.

Dave owned and operated East Sparta Recreation for over 40 years, and his bowlers meant the world to him.  Dave loved horse racing, traveling and sports, especially the Cleveland Indians.

Friends and family may call Thursday 4-7 pm at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. Service will be Friday at 11:00 am with Pastors Peggy Garner and Josh Daniels officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to:  www.gordonfuneralhomes.com .
