Dave P. Materna,

Age 93, of Sandyville, passed away Thur., July 17, 2025.  He was born Apr. 27, 1932, in Canton, a son of the late Carl and Odessa (Miller) Materna.  Dave served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, having been stationed in North Africa.  He retired from the Timken Co. in 1990 as an operator on the steel mill, attended Sandy Valley Church of God and served as a Cub Scout Master.  Preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Materna; two sisters, Alice Farber and Lillian Hattery; and four brothers, Carl, Dan, Rich and George Materna.  Survived by his wife, Janice Materna, and his son, David E.
