Daniel E. Schlabach Age 71, of Magnolia, passed away Sunday morning in Union Hospital. He was born in Holmes County, OH, a son of the late Eli and Emma Troyer Schlabach, and had been a Magnolia resident 39 years. Dan was a retired semi-truck driver and was a well-known livestock hauler. He loved dogs, horses, and cattle, and enjoyed hunting. Preceded in death by a brother and sister, Al Schlabach and Alma Witmer. Survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Colette and Mark Birkhimer, and three grandsons, Zachary, Nathaniel, and Cole Birkhimer, all of Hanoverton, OH; one brother, Henry Schlabach, of Florida. Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral home in Magnolia. Interment in Harmony Cemetery in Rose Township.
