Dale C. "Dan" Schoeppner Age 76, of East Sparta, passed away Tuesday evening in his home. He was born in Belle Valley, OH, a son of the late Joseph and Bernetta (Schell) Schoeppner, and had been a resident of the East Sparta area 40 years. Dan was a 1953 graduate of Canton Lincoln High School, and also a graduate of Carpenters Apprentice School. He retired from Carpenters Local #69 with 59 years experience. Dan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton and Sandy Valley Eagles. Survived by his wife, Lois A. Schoeppner, with whom he celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary on Jan. 22, 2011; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Chris Dye, of East Sparta, and Lori and Bryan Kerr, of Louisville, KY; one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Becky Schoepper, of Magnolia; one sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Louie "Gige" DiAntonio, of Canton; one brother and sister-in-in-law, Tom and Cathy Schoeppner, of Canton; seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Benson Okpara as Celebrant. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.
