Dale Motz
Age 71, of Waynesburg, passed away Monday afternoon in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Matamoras, OH, a son of the late Ralph and Betty (Early) Motz, and had been a Waynesburg resident since 1958. Dale was a 1960 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, and retired in 1998 from Republic Steel Corp., after 26 years service, where he was a crane operator. He also was preceded in death by a son, James Dale Motz, on Nov. 6, 2003, and eight brothers and sisters, Bill, Fred, George, Chuck and Robert Motz, Helen Ehrlinspiel, Marian Eslich, and Judy Agnew. Survived by his wife, Cathy Motz; two sons and three grandchildren, Eric Parr and his daughter, Ari Parr, of Canton, and Michael and Mindy Parr and their children, Brooklyn and Caden, of Clarksville, TN; a great-grandson, Vaughan; two sisters, Ruth Craig, of Massillon, and Flora "Shortie" Dobransky, of Waynesburg; his twin brother, Gale Motz, of Louisville; a special friend, Ernie Ashby, of Waynesburg; and his beloved dog, JD. Services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Mike Fahrney officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
