Dale E. "Jake" Garner

Age 85, of Pike Township, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017.  He was born Dec. 21, 1931, in East Sparta, a son of the late Homer and Manilla (Levengood) Garner, and was a life resident of the Pike Township area.  Dale was retired from the U. S. Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta.  He grew up affiliated with Asbury United Methodist Church.  Dale enjoyed his Arabian horse, Jill, and liked owning and driving Pontiac and Chevy cars.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Jay Garner, a nephew, Jay Clinger, and a brother-in-law, Ed Clinger.  He is survived by two sisters, Betty (Bud) Carper, and Doris Clinger, one brother, Vern Garner; five nieces and nephews, Jamie (Steve) Voican, Robyn (Roy) Adkins, Stanton (Lois) Clinger, Stephen Dale (Karen) Clinger and Timothy (Christina) Garner.  There will be no calling hours or services, and interment will be in East Sparta Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
