CRAIG S. NORTON, Age 51, of East Sparta, passed away Tues. afternoon in Mercy Medical Center. Born in Mansfield, a son of the late Earl and Patsye Mehl Norton, he had been an East Sparta resident since 1964. Craig was a 1978 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and worked for EnerVest as a Senior Drilling Supervisor. He was a member of Faith Family Church, the N.R.A., Sandy Valley Eagles Aerie #3228, and the Ohio Oil & Gas Association. Preceded in death by a brother, Grant Norton. Survived by one daughter, Codi Norton, of East Sparta and Naples, FL; one stepson and his wife, Charlie and Kelly Mace, of Dublin, OH; one sister, Lynn Norton, of East Sparta; one brother, Brad Norton, of East Sparta; one niece, Ashley Norton and her son, Spencer; a stepsister, Sherry Buffingmeir; and special friends, Berri Pavia and Laddie Beucler. Services will be conducted Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Passmore officiating. Interment in East Sparta Cemetery.
