Connie J. Smith Age 73, of Minerva, passed away Wed. morning in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Dover, a daughter of the late Clayton and Nina (Rainsburg) Elliott, was raised in Mineral City, resided many years in the Dover-New Philadelphia area, a number of years in Florida, and Minerva the past two years. Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Robert L. Smith, on July 12, 2009, a son, Chris Smith, a grandson, David Wayne Smith, and a brother, Fred Elliott. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and James Sickels, of Mineral City, Rebecca and Jeff Draher, of Minerva, and Pat and Jim Zurfley, of Mineral City; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sandy Smith, of Barnhill, OH, Bobby and Linda Charnock, of Pineville, LA, and Mark and Abby Smith, of Georgia; one sister, Darlene Swinderman, of New Philadelphia; 22 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one soon to be born great-grandson. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Christopher Rhodes officiating. Interment in New Cumberland Cemetery.
