Clyde H. Vickers

Age 92, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024.  He was born June 20, 1932 in Marlboro Township, a son of the late Russell and Viola (Glew) Vickers, and was a resident of the Canton area all his life.  Clyde was a 1950 graduate of Marlboro High School.  He was retired from Hartville Redi-Mix after 19 years' service, where he was a bookkeeper and office manager.  He was a member of Lowell Church, Wm. McKinley Lodge #431, F. & A.M., serving as Worshipful Master in 1990, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, Knight York Cross of Honor, and all York Rite Bodies.  Clyde honorably served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jacqueline Ilene Vickers, Nancy L. Vickers, his wife of 41 years, on Dec. 26, 2016, two sons, Brad Beatty and Mark Vickers, two sisters, Vivian Hoffman and Ann Cotton, and three brothers, Thomas, Richard, and Harold Vickers.  Clyde is survived by three daughters and two sons, Laura Vickers, Theresa (Mike) Salmon, Faye Moore, Clyde T. (Tammy) Vickers, and Mark (Marlee) Beatty; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat., July 6, 2024, in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Gary Smith, Celebrant, officiating.  Friends may call Sat. 10 a.m.-12 p.m.  Masonic Services by Wm.
