CLYDE R. BLANTON,

Age 88, of Magnolia, passed away Sun., Dec. 6, 2015.  Born in Magoffin Co., KY, a son of the late John and Hattie (Ramey) Blanton, he had been a Magnolia resident since 1960.  Clyde served with the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from Republic Steel in 1984 after 34 years service as a General Foreman, and was a member of Isaac L. Kinney American Legion Post #244 in East Sparta.  Preceded in death by his wife, Frances Blanton, in 2009.  Survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sandy and Donnie Adkins, Kathy Heavener, Amy and Wesley Reichard; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cindy Blanton; two sisters, Ruby Renison, and Mary Jane Lowe; one brother and sister-in-law, James L. and Peggy Blanton; and 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Services will be conducted Thur. at 2 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Floyd Stanfill officiating.  Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.  Friends may call Wed. from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
