Obituary

CLEO M. BOYD, Age 89, of Sandyville, passed away Wed. morning, Nov. 16th, 2011, in Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar. He was born in Magnolia, a son of the late Irvin and Carrie (Miller) Boyd and was a life resident of the Magnolia area and Sandyville the past 60 years. Cleo was retired from Ohio Operating Engineers Local #18, where he was a heavy equipment operator. Preceded in death by three sons, Gene and Rick Boyd, and Gary Provance, two brothers, John and Melvin Boyd, and a sister-in-law, Arlona Boyd. Survived by his wife, Jean Boyd, with whom he celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Aug. 25th; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judi and George DiSabito, of New Philadelphia, and Susan and Eddie Keelan, of Homosassa, FL; one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and JoAnn Boyd, of Newton, NJ; a daughter-in-law, Linda Boyd, of Waynesburg; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Naomi and Gene Espenschied, of Mineral City, Barbara Stevenson, of Dover, and Myra and Bernie Porter, of Laurens, SC; a sister-in-law, Edith Boyd, of East Sparta; one brother, Charles Boyd, of North Canton; and 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia, with Rev. William Y. McGovern, Sr. officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.
