Clemmit J. Bowers
Age 76, of East Canton, passed away Monday morning in Aultman Hospital. He was born in Canton, a son of the late James and Eva Myers Bowers, and had been an East Canton resident five years, previously residing in Waynesburg most of his life. Clemmit was retired from Whitacre-Greer Fireproofing Co. after 29 years service, where he was a bricklayer. He served in the U. S. Army. Survived by his wife, Ruby M. Bowers, with whom he would have celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary on Dec. 12th; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Eva Bowers, of Waynesburg, Tammi and Jon Carlile, of Magnolia, and Melanie and John Baker, of Alliance; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeff and Katy Bowers, and David Bowers, all of East Canton; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two brothers. Services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor David E. Phelps, Jr. officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Friday one hour before the service from 12-1 p.m. Contributions in Mr. Bowers' memory may be made to his family.
