CLARENCE "ED" NAUS,

Age 59, of Mineral City, passed away Sun. evening in his home after a brief courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Dover, a son of Helen Crone Naus, of North Canton, and the late Clarence "Corky" Naus, he had been a resident of Mineral City most of his adult life. Ed was a 1972 graduate of Lake High School, retired in 2006 from Ironworkers Local 550 after 35 years service and loved to work out every day at Barbell Beach in Bolivar.  He served in the U.S. Air Force where he was a security police officer during the Viet Nam War.  Preceded in death by his in-laws, Dale and Glenda Adams.  Survived by his wife, Kathy Naus, with whom he celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary on July 25, 2013; one daughter, Stacey Naus, of Canton; one son, Curt Naus, of the home; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Jim Naus, of North Canton, John Naus and Cheryl, of Akron, and Joe and Dawn Naus, of Mogadore; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dale and Susan Adams, Jr., of Phoenix, AZ, Bill Adams and Janet, of Bolivar, and Susan and Robert Miller, of Somerdale; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Services will be held Fri. at 11 a.m. in Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Mark Gross officiating.  Interment in German Cemetery.  Friends may call Thur. from 6-8 p.m. The family would like to express their appreciation to Mercy Hospice, Mercy Home Care, 7 & 8 Main at Mercy Hospital and Tri-County Hematology in Dover.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ed's name may be made to Mercy Hospice, 7568 Whipple Ave NW, North Canton, OH 44720.  Condolences may be left at www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
