Christian A. Thornton

Age 24, of Canton, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, from injuries sustained in an auto accident at 30th St. and Market Ave. North.  He was born in Mount Vernon, OH, a son of Rachel (Oliver) Thornton, of Dennison and Phillip Thornton, of Danville, OH, and resided in Canton five years, previously Sandyville.  Christian was a 2009 graduate of Sandy Valley High School.  He was an employee of Case Farms where he was a processor, and also worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken on N. Cleveland Ave.  Besides his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Nadilie, of Texas; one sister, Torilana Thornton, of Danville; one brother, John Slack lV, of Sandyville; his grandfather, Jesse Thornton, of Danville; and his girlfriend, Katie Bender.  Friends may call Wed. 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  The family will hold a Memorial Service at a later date.  Those who wish may contribute in Christian's memory to an account that has been set up at Huntington Bank.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
