Charles W. Faigley, Jr.

Age 76, of East Sparta, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021.  He was born March 19, 1944 in Canton, a son of the late Charles W. and Blanche (Materna) Faigley, Sr., and was a life resident of this area.  Chuck was a 1962 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and attended both The Ohio State University and Kent State University.  He retired in 2006 from The Timken Co., after 42 years' service, where he was a mechanical design engineer.  Chuck was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Janet Faigley, on May 5, 2013, and a son, Michael Faigley, on May 2, 2013.  Chuck is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Melanie Faigley, a daughter-in-law, Carrie Faigley, and five grandchildren, Samuel (fiancée Gianna Heasley) Faigley, Matthew Faigley, Zachary Faigley, Macie Faigley, and Reid Faigley.  A Memorial Service will be held Sat., Jan. 16, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Michael Bradford officiating.  Friends may call one hour before the service on Sat.  Social distancing and facial covering are required.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Chuck's memory may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 7344 Ridge Ave. SE, East Sparta, OH 44626.  The service will be Live Streamed starting at 1:45 pm.   Condolences may be made to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
