CATHY M. BARKES,

Age 69, of Bolivar, passed away Tues., Feb 10, 2015.  Born in Akron, a daughter of the late Ralph and Alice (Hoppe) Lutz, she had been a life resident of the Stark, Tuscarawas and Wayne County area.  Cathy was a 1964 Graduate of McKinley High School and a 1992 Graduate of Kent State University.  She was a member of Mineral City United Methodist Church and the Bolivar Chapter #368, O.E.S.  Preceded in death by her husband, Loman Barkes, in 2002.  Survived by one daughter, Victoria Townsend, of Stow; one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Karen Barkes, of Waynesburg; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Dan and Kathy Lutz, and Ralph Lutz, all of Bolivar; one half brother and his wife, Calvin and Carol Smith, of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Victor, Trista, Tasha, and Tiffany; and six great grandchildren.  Services will be held Sun. at 3 p.m. in the Mineral City United Methodist Church with Rev.
