Carrie L. Calderone

Carrie Lousie Calderone from Niles, Ohio, passed away peacefully in Canton Ohio on January 21, 2024, with her loved ones by her side. She was a fabulous 101 years young, born on November 13, 1922 in Niles, Ohio, a daughter of the late Vito and Fanny (Ross) Ciminero, and had resided in Canton since 2006. She accomplished many things in her life. She graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1940, where she met the love of her life, Adone "Cal" Calderone. They got married and had 75 beautiful years together. They started a family and shared many hobbies and laughs together. Carrie was talented at many things throughout her life. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Some of her talents included being an excellent golfer, bowler, cooking, crocheting, boating with her son, and being her husband's biggest supporter. She was a long-time member of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles. Carrie was always there when you needed a good friend, always surrounded by the ones she loved the most. She truly was life's biggest light. Her smile could light up any room and her cooking could fill any belly, especially with her wedding soup and potato pizza.

Carrie is survived by her two sons Greg and Ron Calderone, her granddaughter Jenna Calderone and her great grandson Jaxon Clites. She will be missed dearly but may she have eternal peace and happiness, and be united with her one true love Cal. May they walk hand and hand together forever.  Carrie will always be sunshine.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Fr.  Scott Kopp officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service on Friday from 10-11 a.m.  Entombment will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.co0m
