CAROLYN S. RADEL,

Age 72, of Canton, passed away Tues. July 11, 2017.  Born in Canton, a daughter of the late Raymond and Leto (Snyder) Evans, she had been a life resident of Canton.  Carolyn was a 1962 graduate of Lincoln High School and retired in 2008 from the Haines Criss+Cross Directories as a key punch operator. Previously she was employed at Ohio Power.  Carolyn was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where she volunteered in hospitality and altarguild and Delta Chapter #539, O.E.S. She also enjoyed crochet, cross stitch, bowling, camping and scrapbooking.  Preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Cairns and Donna Ellenger, and two brothers, Raymond and Clarence Evans.  Survived by her husband, Gerald Radel, Sr., with whom she would have celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 21; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Crysta Radel, Jr.; one daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Tim McCormick; one sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and James Rollins; and four grandchildren, Kirstyn and Hanna Radel and Gavin and Maggie McCormick.  Services will be held Mon. at 11 a.m. in Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Bacon officiating.  Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call Sun. from 1-3 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton, and Mon., one hour before the service, from 10-11 a.m., in the church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carolyn's name may be made to: Aultman Compassionate Care Center, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44708.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
