Carolyn L. Kellogg,
a resident of Uniontown, Ohio went to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the age of 79. Carolyn was born on July 20, 1943 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Leonard and Mary Jane (McClure) McKee. She grew up and attended school in Lenapah, Oklahoma.
Carolyn moved to Decatur, Nebraska in 1961. She worked in banking most of her career and retired from First Nebraska Bank where she served as Branch President from 1985-2006. In May of 2020 she moved to Ohio to be near her daughter and grandchildren. When not working, Carolyn enjoyed gardening and planting flower beds all around her yard. She was an exceptional home cook and loved baking treats for her family and grandkids. Carolyn was happiest when spending time with family, and especially cherished memories of fun times camping near Nowata, Oklahoma when all her siblings would gather for their annual fish fry.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Donnie Lew McKee (infant) and Linda West. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Belinda (David) Palky; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn (Earl) Scott, and Connie (Albert) Wilson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lloyd (Janet) McKee, and Terry Joe (Terry) McKee; three grandchildren, Lauren Palky, Garrett Palky, and Olivia Palky; many nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 30th at Church of the Lakes, 5944 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton. Calling Hours 10am-11am. Memorial Service at 11am. Interment in Elm Grove Cemetery near Edna, Kansas. The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
