Carolyn S. Haney

Age 71, of Mineral City, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017.  She was born August 20, 1946, in Maidsville, WV, a daughter of the late Jacob and Greta (Arbogast) Hicks, and had been a Mineral City resident since 1975.  She had been a member of the Canton Baptist Temple where she had taught Sunday school.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, John Sanford, and a sister, Josephine Prete.  Carolyn is survived by her husband, Charles M. Haney, with whom she celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on March 28th; two daughters, Dana (Ben) Lane, and Susan (Dennis) Waller; one son, Jeff (Rebecca) Haney; four grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Beck, and Ruth Ann (Brian) Rager; one brother, Kenneth (Anna) Hicks.  Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Robert King officiating.  Interment will be in Baxter's Ridge Cemetery.  Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
