Carol J. Motz

Age 70, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023.  She was born June 28, 1953 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Fred and Evabelle (Lockhart) Motz, and resided in Waynesburg most of her life.  She was a 1971 graduate of Sandy Valley High School.  Carol had worked in the office for Dr. Chae in East Canton, as an EMT for Quad Ambulance, and did baby sitting at home for many children.  Carol was a gifted artist, winning many Blue Ribbons at the Stark County Fair.

She is survived by her daughter and son, Amy Jo (Greg) Trussel, and Keith (Candice) Riter; eight grandchildren, Amy Jo's children, Reese Wolfe, Annalise Wolfe, Morgan (Dillon) Long, and Izaak Trussel, and Keith's children, Zachary, Cody, and Dyllan Riter, and Karter Limron; four great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Elaine Fahrney, Melissa (Boone) Hiles, and Fred Motz; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  Friends may call Wed. 5-7 p.m. before the service.  The family will greet friends following the service at a meal in St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to her family to help with expenses.  Condolences may be sent to:
