Carl D. Stevens
Age 93, of Canton, passed away Friday evening in Windsor Medical Center. He was born in Steel, ND, a son of the late John and Della Devereaux Stevens, and had been a Canton resident most of his life. Carl retired in 1981 from Nickles Bakery, after 18 years service, where he was foreman of the cake dept. and had decorated many wedding cakes. He previously was employed many years at the former Sterling Bakery. Carl was a member of First Christian Church, William McKinley Lodge #431, F. & A.M., and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Survived by his wife, Nellie Stevens, with whom he would have celebrated their 71st Wedding Anniversary on Dec. 16th; one daughter and son-in-law, Arlis and Larry Cramer, of North Canton; two granddaughters and three great-granddaughters, Dana LeBoeuf and her daughters, Taylor and Drew, and Lori Aliberti and her husband, Andy, and their daughter, Adriana, all of Canton. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Minister Jeffrey Bullock officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 11-1 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
