Pauline Stalcup  1920-2015

Age 95, of Bolivar, passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2015.  She was born in Brasstown, NC, a daughter of the late William and Delpha (Scroggs) Hughes, and had been a Bolivar resident since 1946.  Pauline was retired from the U. S. Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta where she was a tile setter.  She also was a renowned potato picker for numerous farmers in the area.  Pauline was a member of Bolivar Wesleyan Church and served on the church board.  She also served on the Bolivar Village Council several years until 1992.  Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Hal B. Stalcup, on Oct. 5, 1992, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Jim Bowman, of Bolivar, and Shirley and Ron Scheideger, of Zoar; one son and daughter-in-law, Ed "Butch" and Karen Stalcup, of Dover; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.  A Memorial Service will be held Sat., Sept. 19, 2015, at 11 a.m.in Bolivar Wesleyan Church with Dr. Steven Gerig officiating.  Interment will be in Ft.
