Obituary

Burton "Gene" Noble Age 78, of Canton, passed away Sunday afternoon, Nov. 6, 2011, in Manor Care of Belden Village. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Albert and Gladys (Lilly) Noble, and was a life resident. Gene retired in 1995 from The Timken Co., after 33 years service, where he was a grinder and trainer. He was a member of Caldwell Lodge #330, F. & A.M. in Bolivar, and McKinley Eagles, Aerie #2370. Gene had volunteered for the Edgefield Fire Dept. Preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Noble and a brother, James Foracker. Survived by his wife, Joan L. Noble, with whom he celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary on June 18th; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Dorothy Noble, of East Sparta, and Scott and Trina Noble, of Greentown; four grandchildren, Seth, Christian, Celeste, and Carson; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Eugene Williams, of Canton. A celebration of Gene's life will be held on Thursday at 9 p.m. in Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Fr. Joseph Zamary officiating. Friends may call Thursday 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gene's memory may be made to the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, 350 Opportunity Parkway, Akron, OH 44307.
