Bob G. Pryse, age 90, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sat., Nov. 14, 2009 at Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Helen (Saccucci) Pryse, son and daughter-in law Bobby and Darlene Pryse of Massillon, daughter Kathleen Pryse Michaels of Lawrenceburg, IN; five grandsons George III, Nathan, Zachary and Benjamin (Melanie) Michaels and Robbie Pryse along with numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Canton, OH, on Sept. 30, 1919, to the late Nellie (Homan) Pryse and Tom Pryse. He was preceded in death by a brother Tom (Ruth) Pryse, a sister Virginia (Daniel) Yost, and a son-in law George Michaels II. Bob graduated from McKinley High School in 1937. Shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Bob enlisted in the Army Air Corps and proudly served his country with the 41st Air Squadron in the Pacific Theater from 1941 through 1945. He was a member of the William McKinley Masonic Lodge for over 60 years. Bob spent the last 25 years of his working career as a lab technician with The AKRO Corporation until his retirement. A life-long member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Canton, Bob sang in the church choir since his early youth and served on the Vestry. A private burial ceremony will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery on Sat., Nov. 21. Visitation and memorial service will take place on Sun., Nov. 22, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church: Visitation 2-3 PM, memorial service at 3 PM.
