Beulah M. "Bunny" Walter
Age 89, of Canton, passed away Monday morning in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Glenmont, OH, a daughter of the late Samuel and Laura Kaylor Augsburger, and had been a Canton resident since 1958. Bunny was the retired owner of Canton Cut Stone, which she operated with her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Tom Collins. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, and a former member of Women in Construction. Bunny also was a member of the Canton Jewish Center, where she enjoyed water aerobics and being with her friends. Preceded in death by her husband, John H. Walter, on Aug. 3, 1969, and a sister and brother, Alfretta Barnes and Wayne Augsburger. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Tom Collins, of Canton; two grandsons, Craig Collins and his wife, Jodi, of Oak Harbor, OH, and Brian Collins and his wife, Holly, of Uniontown; her five beloved great-grandchildren, Zachary, Josh, Katie, Noah, and Caleb. Services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen A. Gifford officiating. Interment in Nashville Cemetery in Holmes County. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
