Beulah L. Van Voorhis
Age 98, of Waynesburg, passed away Wed. morning, April 6, 2011, in Carroll Healthcare
Center. She was born in Freeburg, OH, a daughter of the late Frank and Almeda Shidler Culler, and had been a Waynesburg resident 65 years. Beulah and her late husband owned and operated a 120 acre farm for many years. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple and the Jolly 60's of the church. Beulah loved flowers, and had many rose, day lily, primrose, geranium, hibiscus, and Christmas cactus plants. She enjoyed traveling and made three trips to Jerusalem, and also went to Hawaii and other places. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy Van Voorhis, on Nov. 9, 1964, and a granddaughter, Karen Miller. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sheryl Van Voorhis, of Waynesburg, and Galen and Darlene Culler, of Beloit; three step-children and spouses, Wendell and Shirley Van Voorhis, and Arlene and Ralph Myers, all of East Canton, and Evelyn and Jess Thomas, of Apple Creek; 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
