Betty R. Zito
Age 88, of Magnolia, passed away Sat., July 15, 2017. She was born May 31, 1929, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Robert and Leona (Clemens) Shelker, and was a life resident of this area. Betty was a 1947 graduate of Waynesburg High School, and was a retired employee of the Sparta Ceramic Tile Co. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Magnolia, enjoyed reading, and riding the Senior Bus to Canton to go to the malls to shop and eat. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Zito, on August 26, 2000. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Aller, of Magnolia, and Cheryl (Jack) Williams, of Cuyahoga Falls, and two sons, Jeffrey Zito, of Waynesburg, and William Zito, of Cuyahoga Falls; two sisters, Esther Ann (John) Lapomarda, of Charlotte, NC, and Marlene Pavick, of Portland, OR; one brother, Richard (Jean) Gainey, of North Canton; five grandchildren and one soon to be born great-granddaughter. A Memorial Service will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor J. Andrew Riggs officiating. Private interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service on Sat. from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's memory may be made to either Here Doggy Doggy Rescue, 2390 Westbrook St. SE, Magnolia, OH 44643, of Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 464, Magnolia, OH 44643.
