Betty (Wieck) Taylor

Age 93, of Canton, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014, in Altercare of Nobles Pond.  She was born in Indianapolis, IN, a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Lambert) Wieck, and had been a Canton resident all her life.  Betty was a 1939 graduate of Lehman High School.  She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, PEO Chapter CX, Canton Woman's Club, Wally Byam Caravan Club, Akron Unit, and Atwood Yacht Club.  Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Frederick C. Taylor, on April 1, 1992, and a son-in-law, William Daniell, on June 1, 2009.  Survived by two daughters, Sarah Daniell, of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Susan McCarty, of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Frederick C. and Cheryl Taylor, Jr., of Canton; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, Brian McCarty and his daughter, Taylor, Donald and Jennifer McCarty and their children, Jamie, Emma and Ethan McCarty, and Jessica and Damon Goodson, Wendy and Jamie Johnson and their children, Brandon Adorisio and Everly Johnson, and Brandon's son, Jaxon, Adrian and Kimberly Stock and their sons, Christopher and Nicholas, James and Michelle Daniell and their children , Luke and Abigail, Mary Daniell and her children, Elijah and Jaryxa Heredia, and Malachi Joseph;  one brother, John C. Wieck, of Cheboygan, MI; seven nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Christ Presbyterian Church with Rev. Eldon Trubee officiating.  Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may call Monday in the Church Parlor one hour before the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's memory may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church or the donor's favorite charity.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
