Betty M. Reed Age 89, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday evening in Altercare of Nobles Pond. She was born in Carrollton, a daughter of the late Orville and Ethel (Rennicker) Wood, and had resided in Magnolia since 1956. Betty retired in 1985 from TRW in Minerva, after 25 years service, where she was a press operator. Previously she had worked at the Sparta Ceramic Tile Co. in East Sparta and Cronin Pottery in Minerva. Betty was a member of Minerva United Methodist Church and the Magnolia Senior Citizens. Preceded in death by her husband, David A. Reed, on Aug. 6, 1989, her daughter-in-law, Sharon Reed, on Sept. 4, 2012, three sisters and one brother, Joan Beck, Helen Wood, June Brunk, and Eugene Morrow. Survived by her son, David O. Reed, of Canton; two grandchildren, David O. Reed II and his wife, Michelle, and Suzette Reed, and one great-granddaughter, Megan Reed-Taylor; one sister and brother-in-law, Nora Mae and Marion Klotz, of New Philadelphia; one sister-in-law, Sally Morrow, of Carrollton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Kenneth and Shirley Wood, of Waynesburg, and Robert Wood, of New Philadelphia. Services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Jeri K. Johnson officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
