BETTY J. REED,

Age 87, of Magnolia, passed away Sun., Mar. 6, 2016.  Born in Magnolia, a daughter of the late Homer and Myrtle (Youtz) Sherer, she had been a life resident of Magnolia.  Betty was a graduate of Magnolia High School, a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, and a 50 year member of Magnolia Grange.  She loved baking cookies, crocheting, and reading and never met a stranger she couldn't talk to.  Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Reed, on June 26, 2008, and two infant sons, David and Russell.  Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Stanton Sickafoose, Jill and Rick Murphy, and Judy and Randy McDade; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Adriana Reed; and eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and one soon to be born.  A Memorial Service will be held Sat. at 3 p.m. in the Magnolia United Methodist Church with Rev. Steven M. Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's memory may be made to the Magnolia United Methodist Church, P.O.
