Betty J. Gliba Age 76, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, passed away peacefully Thursday evening surrounded by her family. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Robert and Rose Krajcik Copeland, and had been a resident of the Mentor area since 1970. Betty was a retired employee of the Sodexo Corp. She was a member of St. Bede The Venerable Catholic Church in Mentor. Betty's family was everything to her and she loved having them around her. Preceded in death by her husband, Barney Gliba, on June 19, 2008, a daughter, Barbara Heierding, and a sister, Helen DeMario. Survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Jo and Kenny Kohler, and Linda and Clyde Hackenbracht, all of Massillon, Brenda White, of Northfield, OH, and Babette and Mark Floyd, of Mentor; two sons, Butch Gliba, of Canton, and George Gliba, of Cincinnati; also 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Services will held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Fr. Tim Plavac officiating. Entombment in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
